Built on an inquiry-based philosophy, students are encouraged to question, discover and communicate through an interdisciplinary and integrated approach to learning. The curriculum is designed to foster the development of the whole child, both in the classroom and through other means of learning.

The prep classes are aimed at providing a happy and secure introduction to school life and learning. This first experience of school is fundamental in building a love of learning and an understanding that school is a happy, exciting place to be. After the completion of three Prep years children are thoroughly prepared for the next phase of more formal education. श्री OGIS adopts an inquiry-based, integrated curriculum which focuses on the child as a learner. We recognize that children come to us as distinct individuals with unique experiences, backgrounds, abilities and interests. Our teachers promote cross cultural understanding, and differentiate instruction to meet students’ varying needs, abilities, and learning styles. We provide a balanced education program within a safe, stimulating environment so that each child can learn and grow to their greatest potential. For this reason श्री Oberoi Gurukula International School creates a safe, secure, happy environment with trained and experienced Early Childhood Pre-primary and Primary teachers.

An inquiry approach underlies all teaching and learning and integrated units are developed which draw from English, Mathematics, Science, Social, Kannada and Hindi.

LEARNING IS FUN

At श्री OGIS provides opportunities for children to learn as they discover, create, improvise and imagine. Play provides a supportive environment where children can ask questions, solve problems and engage in critical thinking.

LEARNING IS HANDS-ON

At श्री OGIS teachers facilitate opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration. The school and the classroom are welcoming spaces – environments to support learning, to support discovery and imagination.

LEARNING OCCURS BOTH AT SCHOOL AND HOME

At श्री OGIS culture and the context of the family are central to children’s sense of being and belonging. The home environment and the family play a crucial role in the holistic development of children and at श्रीOGIS parents and care-givers are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s development.

COMMUNICATION

Communication and support between home and school are critical for us. We believe that parental involvement is an essential ingredient in providing a quality education. We seek input from parents to guide our progress and we encourage parents to be actively involved in their child’s education.
